The CGSHD Kitakyushu Headquarters Building was completed in Kitakyushu City (Hikino, Yahatanishi Ward) in December 1985 by the former Computer Engineering Corporation, the predecessor to C&G Systems. Kitakyushu City prospered as a town of iron and coal mining, and supported Japan's rapid economic growth. In recent years, it has been selected by the national government as one of four regions in Japan to carry out “next-generation energy and social system verification” as an initiative to build smart grids and achieve overseas expansion, and proactive efforts are being made based on industry-academia-government-private sector collaboration.
